Parul University Organizes the Fourth Edition of Indian Summer School

The Fourth Edition of Indian Summer School was inaugurated recently at city-based Parul University wherein 11 Students from Wroclaw University of Science & Technology, Poland went for a one-month long Academic Exchange Program. “ Three Professors from the same University also went on a two week visit to PU for conducting extensive workshops and lecture series for students of the University under the Erasmus+ Programme (European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students)”, Said Dr Rajkumari Soni, Head, International Relations Cell, Parul University.

 

He further added, “Apart from these, two Professors from Bern University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland, One Professor from University of Applied Sciences, Mainz, Germany, Two Professors from Otto von Guericke University, Magdeburg, Germany also be visiting PU in the next six weeks conducting various lectures for the Management & Engineering students here”

 

Parul University Group strives to provide the best learning opportunities and enhance the scope of learning through such Academic Exchange Programs and various other innovative teaching methods. The Exchange Students studied some subjects of their curriculum (Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering & Architecture and Planning) and got relevant credit transfers for the same. Apart from this, they also studied Indian Culture, Traditions & Customs.

 

The official spokesperson of Parul University stated, “Such Academic Exchange Programs are a great learning experience for students. They help in boosting their confidence level and provide them with a wider perspective on life and international affairs.”

 

The curriculum of the students also included the details of Indian culture, Division of States by Cultural Zones, ancient Indian Civilization, Indian Governance System, and Different religions of India, diversity in Indian Clothing, Yoga, Indian Family Structure, Festival and rituals in India, diverse Cuisines of India, Indian Language, Literature and Vedas, Indian Arts, Sculpture and Architecture, Indian Cinema & Indian Medicine.  As a part of practical exposure to these parts of Indian Culture, students were made to visit various religious places and historical places in and around Vadodara.  Moreover, students were also given an opportunity to witness a pure Indian traditional wedding.  This exposure increased their understanding of the Indian cultures, communities, and languages.

 

“When in India, we want to live and blend into the Indian Culture and live as Indians do. From Indian Cuisines to travelling in Chagdas, we are enjoying the experience of Incredible India, said Klimas Aleksander, a student of WrUST, Poland. Learning here with Indian Professors is a totally difference experience and we are looking forward to more of it added Klimas.
