Aashish Nanda inaugurates ePGP programme first batch from IIMA

The first batch of ePGP 2017-19 was virtually inaugurated on Tuesday by Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. The program was inaugurated by the Director of IIMA, Aashish Nanda and stated the ePGP program details. The Hughes e-Learning Studio became the joint where the historic announcement was made.

The ePGP program details are as under. It is a 2-year e-Mode Post Graduate Diploma Programme that offers the flexibility of an extra year for its successful completion. IIMA is expected to extend its access to successful aspirants in varied cities of India wherein they can pursue the course at centers of their choice and preference.

The program is the collaborative effort of IIMA and Hughes Education India Limited which is its technology partner.

A crucial ePGP Programme details entail the fact that the session of the program would be conducted by IIMA faculty from the Hughs studio in IIMA. The program is exclusively designed for working professionals and entrepreneurs who have the minimum requisite full-time work experience of at least three years.

It is expected that the batch would commence its operations from October 2, 2017. There is an upsurge in the demand of the program by working professionals who have preexisting commitments and couldn’t attend a full-time course.

The first batch of ePGP programme would witness 53 participants who are expected to pursue the course form 13 cities across the country.

A majority of the enrolled students are BE/B.Tech degree holders and belong to IT service, Oil and Gas, healthcare and financial service industry among others.

Around 30 percent of the enrolled students have experience of 3 to 5 years, 21 percent have experience of 6 to 10 years and around 24.5 percent have 11 to 15 years of experience under their belt. There are only 2 female candidates from the lot of 53 enrolled candidates. The candidates were selected after rigorous brainstorming of the vast pool of applicants.

The ePGP program details of batch commencing from May 2018 will consider CAT/GMAT scores.
