My thoughts and Experience on Alliance University
I completed my MBA from Alliance University in 2014. A college can teach you only as much as you are willing to learn. Alliance University has made a lot of changes in the curriculum to help students learn better and get better jobs. When the job market has been really down, most of the students of MBA from Alliance University got placed, and a few who were not placed are still getting placement assistance. If you have read newspapers during the placement times, there were many colleges which were struggling to get even one student placed, but Alliance University, though slow in placements during that time, managed to perform decently.
Coming back to the question, many big brands come to the campus for placements, they choose students, even if a very few each. The packages are sometimes very low, but it is up to a student sometimes to show capability and perform well in the given chance and negotiate, where ever negotiable. Even though the payoff wasn’t as expected, the students reported an excellent work culture where they were placed. There have been cases where candidates bagged prosperous opportunities with well-known organizations.
Now, this might sound all praises about the college. I want to add a negative as well. The placement committee seems to devalue the students and asks students to compromise on all of the three: brand, package, and profile, which in turn, makes students loose self-confidence and go for not so good jobs, but eventually they quit when they find better jobs, which makes them look irresponsible, in other words, rich brats!

I love the laid-back atmosphere here. There is a perfect balance between teaching and cultural activities (I happen to love theater). The faculty is very accommodating of your co-curricular ventures. Just study hard and you can manage both worlds very well.
