Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi (Ambedkar University Delhi or AUD) was established by the Government of the NCT of Delhi through an Act of the State Legislature in 2007. The Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi (Ambedkar University Delhi or AUD) is a public University with a multi campus, unitary structure with research, postgraduate and undergraduate programmes in the social sciences and the humanities.

Ambedkar University Delhi is committed to creating an institutional culture characterized by humanism, non-hierarchical and collegial environment, teamwork and nuturance of creativity.

Facilities and Services

Library

AUD has a rich and rapidly growing library located on both campuses, with a fast-growing subscription base of e-journals and resources. The library is fully online and can be accessed both on and off campus.

IT Services

IT Services has made available round the clock internet access, off-campus VPN access both for faculty as well as for students. Besides all faculty members have been equipped with desktops/laptops that are configured with licensed software/s.

Hostel

AUD has hostel facilities for Women at Kashmere Gate Campus. Students can apply for hostel accommodation once they have secured admission. The application form and brochure for hostel accommodation will be available at the University Offices.

ECA and Sports

AUD has also established a series of cultural societies to galvanise the intellectual and extracurricular life of students in the campus. There is a thriving Theatre Society, Sports Committee, Debating Society and Literary Society. The Economics Society and the Society for Visual Culture has also been activated. There are regular talks, lectures, screenings and performances in the campus and students are encouraged to participate in and organise events around them.
