Annamalai University, accredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC in 2014, is one of India’s largest public residential universities with 10 Faculties and 49 departments of study. The University has initiated several innovative teaching programmes over the years and has been a pioneer in distance education.
Annamalai University has joint research and innovation partnerships with 24 institutions across the USA, Europe, Australia, Japan, and the UK. The list of partners includes prestigious institutes like Karolinska Institute, John Hopkins University, and University of Michigan amongst others.

Main Library
The Annamalai University Library has the unique privilege of being selected as a full-fledged Depository for the World Bank Publications ever since 1986, and through this offer, our library gets the entire publications of the Bank at free of cost, and it is getting renewed every two years, based on the utility of the collections.
Sports Center
The Annamalai University has separate sports room for tennis court, volleyball court, basketball stadium and indoor stadiums. The students in different sports have cleared state and national level competition. Students are allowed to take participation in any of the sports.
Hostel
The Annamalai University has separate rooms for girls and boys. The University compromises of DIAMOND JUBLE HOSTEL, KURINJI ILLAM, GOLDEN JUBLEE HOSTEL, KAVERI ILLAM and MULLAI ILLAM.
Research and Development Cell
Annamalai University (AU) with its vibrant research focus and technical expertise has attracted funds from a wide spectrum of national and international agencies. Regulations have been framed to systematize procedures to facilitate research and development (R & D) activities that would help generate resources, establish national and international collaborations, foster academy-industry interaction, address issues of social and national relevance, spawn inventions, extend service to social organizations, lead to value addition for faculty and students in the academic world, and most importantly, provide visibility for the University in academic and R & D activities.
