Harcourt Butler Technical University Kanpur has been established in year 2016 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh with a view for making it a leading Residential University to become a Centre of Excellence with focus on Research and Development and Incubation in the field of Engineering, Technology, Basic & Applied Sciences, Humanities, Social Science & Management Architecture and other professional courses.

HBTU aims to promote studies, research & innovation in Engineering areas of higher education, to enhance skill development through continuing education programme and knowledge and to achieve excellence in higher Technical education.

Central Library

The e-journals of ‘Science Direct’ have been made available from June 2016 in addition to already available e-journals of AICTE approved ‘ASPP model’ from January 2016.

Guest House

HBTU has well-furnished guest house in the East Campus. The guest house has 2 VIP suites, 2 deluxe rooms and eight air conditioned rooms.

Computer Center

Computer Centre caters to the computing needs of the faculty, staff and students for their research and teaching. It has a number of state of the art servers, high end linux and windows labs and application software. Internet access is provided through a 100 Mbps dedicated Internet link. All systems (servers & clients) are equipped with 10/100/1000 mbps Ethernet cards

Admissions

Admission in HBTU takes place through:

• IIT-JEE for MCA & B.Tech Courses
• GATE for admission in M.Tech. program.
