Based on the theme of ‘Innovating on the NEW’, identifying disruptive ideas and top talent for the digital economy was the aim of the challenge.
The challenge began on the 21st of August, 2019 across campuses at an event in Gurugram, Haryana. At the event top, ten teams from the campuses presented a case study on a disruptive digital strategy centered around Innovation.
The challenge was divided into four stages: online rapid-fire quiz, a business scenario where students were to work in the role of a CEO as to make the company profitable, case study challenge and the final round in Gurugram where top 10 teams fought out on an overnight case study challenge.
Over 1500 teams participated in the first round of which only 30 teams got selected per campus for the next round. Subsequently, ten teams per college made it the third round, eventually ending into one team per campus in the final round.
These kinds of challenge-based competitions have proved to enhance the understanding and learnings of the students not only in B-Schools but across the streams. It is good to see that some of the companies are promoting the culture of competitions outside school campuses.
