An artist and a writer, Peter Gallo lives and works in Hyde Park. After receiving his Ph.D and MA in Art History from Concordia University, Montreal, he wrote about the intersection of bio politics, medicalization and artistic experience. Peter Gallo has been active in the Grass Roots Art and Community Efforts (GRACE) in Hardwick, VT.
One of the most sought-after individuals in this field, Peter has organized numerous exhibitions, including “Insider Art.” He draws from a wide variety of source, including art historical, political, and literary. Gallo uses simple formal structures, which highlight the materiality of painting. His paintings often incorporate unconventional materials, including newspaper clippings, buttons, toothpicks, found photographs, string, typed texts, etc.
