A global school, C.S.D. Sahara Global Academy was inaugurated by’ Saharasri’ Subrata Roy Sahara, Managing Worker and Chairman of Sahara India Pariwar, in Lucknow. The school, which would follow the Cambridge (UK) curriculum, has been designed with the aim of developing and empowering students, through focus on listening, speaking, reading and writing courses.
In her address at the inaugural function, Smt. Kumkum Rai Chaudhary, CSD Sahara Global Academy’s founder and executive director of Sahara India family said, “Lucknow city has a CSD. At Sahara Global Academy, on the basis of global experience, full attention should be given in terms of best practices and international standards in terms of quality education, as well as health, hygiene and safety.”
“This is the first Institute in Lucknow which has adopted the BA LA (Building As Learning Aid concept of learning,” she further added.
With a vision to a strong foundation to match International Standards in developing skillsets like Problem Solving, and Critical Thinking, the school has been affiliated with the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. This would help the school to gain access to a unique range of teaching and learning resources, professional development opportunities – and a world-class curriculum.
Attended by various dignitaries and guests in CSD Campus, the school is dedicated to Late Chhabi Roy and Late Shanti Roy Chowdhury.
Talking about the need for quality education and the associated vision of Sahara India, Subrata Roy said, “We have always emphasized we focus on introducing special skills in our chosen areas and developing necessary skills for personal progress from our students in the beginning. CSD Sahara Global Academy is a humble beginning of our long-term plan to set norms in quality education.”
After the inauguration, ‘Saharasri’ Subrata Roy Sahara inaugurated the Sudhir Roy Cup Under-16 Cricket Tournament, which is affiliated to the Lucknow Cricket Association. The 40 overs per side match will be played on league-cum-knockout basis.
